View the SUNY Oneonta Special Collections Finding Aids
The Early Textbook Collection, New York State Collection, Martha C. Chambers Popular Fiction Collection, and O’Mara Native American Collection are among the various book collections in the Alden Room, and are discoverable through the library’s catalog. An index card catalog currently provides access to the 13,000+ glass slides in the Lantern Slide Collection. In addition, the archival collections, which include photographs, scrapbooks, student publications, and written records, document the history of the college. Finding aids for many of the collections within the archives were created by Elise DeAndrea, hired as our digitization specialist, during the summer of 2013. Over time, more finding aids and digital collections will be added to New York Heritage. Anyone wishing to use materials in our Special Collections is invited to contact the special collections librarian directly.
