About this collection

The history of astronomy and the history of Albany are intertwined in the archives of this 150 year-old civic observatory. The items here document a major astronomical expedition to Argentina in 1909, and the visit of Princess Beatrix on the occasion of the 350th anniversary of Henry Hudson's trip to Albany.
